Wally, the manager has passion for what he does, running a caravan park. He too is on site overnight. Lots of little extras, fridge, kettle, cooking facilities, soaps, hair shampoos in showers. Toilets really clean. Its right on the Tambo, lots of sandy beaches to swim and water warm. Metung is a hop down the road, pretty, but exposed and on another level altogether$$$$ and can be much cooler there. Come back to Bruthen for trees, warmer, a swim and affordability.
wouldn't bother even considering staying here again or recommending the park until there is a new manager. the park itself has great potential, location is great, so close to the pub for a nice counter meal as well as many other nice local places to eat, the rail trail runs right past the park and is perfect for bike riding or walking, the camp kitchen and amenities would be fine with a bit of a clean up. The care taker is one of the rudest and moodiest people l have come across in a long time and is the only reason we will not be returning to the park.
What a fanatastic place. Well looked after with the Mangaer being the best bloke ever. Will be back. Carnt get enough of thar Camp Kitchen. Top Job to the Manager
Loved this caravan park, small quiet park walking distance to the small township (meal in the Pub across the bridge was very good). The extra effort put into making the facilities very homely are a credit to the caretakers both the camp kitchen and the toilets are stocked with lots of items that really create a lovely homely relaxed vibe. We will definitely be back.
Extremely rude caretaker, also $30 per night for a powered site is a lot. The road noise on the Bruthen Nowa Nowa is very loud with trucks running past all night. Park has deteriorated since our last stay 3 years ago.
Great little park, near the river, easy short walk into town for a great counter meal at the hotel, wonder the second hand shops, sample the much recommended bakery pie, pick Up a bargain at the open shop or grab a coffee. Amenities were very clean and lots of extra little touches as well, like nice hand soap, moisturiser,,flowers and other goodies in the bathrooms. Camp kitchen wad 'fully stocked', absolutely everything you need In there and with lots of rustic charactor and an open fire place. The place is Very well kept , he grass could hardly bee greener or neater. Will be returning with out doubt.
Well kept park and a few extra comforts in amenities area. Wish we could have stayed longer but time did not allow. We had our own caravan but a warm area with a fire was available which made a great area to talk with other visitors.
