This shady camping ground faces Cylinder Beach, which is one of the Island's most iconic surf beaches. With a direct north orientation and a sunny outlook, the site enjoys protection from the prevailing winds. Its position makes the camping ground extremely popular during peak holiday periods, so early bookings are essential.

The camp ground is close to the cafes, boutiques, and restaurants of Point Lookout, and the renowned Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. There are supermarkets, great restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops all within walking distance.
The beach in front of the campground is patrolled during school holidays and on weekends.
all sites packed tightly access difficult no extra parking provided park over rated evan though it is very close to beach
For our 1st camping trip it was brilliant and thats why we are going back this easter Awsome!!!!!
Dont go you will hate it honest :) No really it is a perfect little spot to get away, perfect beach and close to everything you could want but yet you still feel like your miles from anywhere. I've been coming here on and off for the last 15 years, absolutely love, be back in March.
LIke the other review, don't want to really let everyone know about this little piece of paradise, but been having family (kids now 10,12,14) holidays here for few years now and we all love it and cant wait to come back next year, It has everything you need in walking distance but and you still feel like you're miles from anyway.
It really is hard to write this review, as I would prefer to keep this little bit of paradise quiet, but that would be selfish! It has the lot, million dollar views, beautiful waters, clean beaches, fantastic campsite ground with plenty of space to easily move around, a playground for the kids to enjoy & a great onsite manager! overall, it is just a fantastic place to relax and enjoy yourself & it is right on Brisbanes doorstep. We just spent a week there in january and we are going back at easter for another week, can't wait for that to come around!
