Situated on the eastern edge of Kinchega National Park is the relaxed and picturesque Darling River campground. The tranquil campsite is set right on the banks of the Darling River, and boasts an impressive bounty of bird life, from pink and black cockatoos that nest in the tree hollows to egrets and black kites that live by the water. The campsite is the perfect spot to simply recharge the batteries; have a paddle in the river to cool off, explore the surrounding bushland known for its wildflowers and wildlife, and indulge in a delicious barbecue feast. The campground features toilets, picnic tables and a car park, with hot showers available at the nearby Shearer’s Quarters by a gold coin donation.
