They are an ideal base to travel down to Australia’s only permanent sea-lion colony at Point Labatt. Travelling via the scenic Westall Way Tourist Drive featuring pristine sandhills, cliffs with breathtaking sea views, rock pools, excellent fishing, swimming and surfing.
On the return trip, stop off at Murphy’s Haystacks, which are huge granite Inselbergs, located in the middle of a wheat field.
Streaky Bay is renown for its year round fishing and is home of the prized King George Whiting and Snapper species. You can also be assured of plenty of Blue Swimmer Crabs in summer and early Autumn, from the bay or the jetty. Razor fish also are plentiful in the shallows all year round.
Streaky Bay is also the home to many oyster farms so you can always be assured of a feed of fresh local oysters when in season.

Fabulous park, we had a waterfront site right on the beautiful beach which us only a short walk to town. The park is well laid out , very clean and staff really nice.
The Park is on the foreshore where you can go in the morning and pick razor fish on low tide either using them for bait or eating very yummy they have fish cleaning faciltities. You also have the town jetty for fsihing and while you are there you have many coastal places to explore you can leave your van Tent etc at the park and go and explore the Gawler ranges which is an excellent spot with wildlife etc you have the best of both worlds sea or bush all within range of the caravan park.
We had a short stay here and found it to be beautifully positioned walking distance to shops facilies clean and user friendly The view was great and the staff helpful and accommodating to our needs
We stayed in Cabins right on the beach. The cabins were quite adeqate for two couples and were in A1 condition. All facilities were available in the park including meals. Access to fishing grounds was excellent and ambience spectacular
An awesome spot right on the beach with fish practically jumping onto the BBQ. A bargain at twice the price.
A wonderful park for anyone! Right on the water visiting pelicans a wonderful kiosk with old fashioned newspaper wrapped fish and chips and the friendliest staff I have found in a long while. Clean amenities and walking distance to everything in town!
This park has a number of good points including excellent value for money (2012/13 low season $28 shoulder $29 high season $30 - add $2 for absolute beachfront site) location for travellers coming from and going to WA as is within walking distance of all amenities of the town. No permanents friendly staff pet friendly licensed restaurant clean amenities dump point. All forms of accommodation including cabins powered & unpowered sites with shade also a good number of sites actually back onto the waterfront. Great park for families. This park is owned & operated by the District Council of Streaky Bay and is a member of the Family Parks group.
A busy little park right on the shore of the bay! We loved our site which fronted right onto the water of the bay with sand shallow water and barely any waves perfect for the kids. Plenty of facilities inclulding a camp kitchen and the amenities were ample and clean. Service at the reception was friendly polite and helpful.
Couldn't fault it. Was our first family experience in a holiday park and couldn't believe the value in having a 2br cabin right on the beach. Friendly staff, great swimming, awesome fishing and a base from which to explore the area. Highly recommended.
Service was not the friendliest. Although there was not many caravans there we were put at the back with no view & when we asked to move to a nicer site we were told to pay extra for the beach front or stay where we were. Upon our exit 2mins past 10am (as we had to wait for a car in front of us) our code for the boom gate did not work so we asked at the office why this was so & we were rudely told we should be paying for another day as we were late to exit. We would have stayed longer if the staff were more welcoming. A shame as it is a nice little town
