The fully self-contained lodge contains all modern conveniences, including a slow combustion wood heater, set in a slab and stone setting derived from the original Dunmore homestead (1830s). A new built- in barbeque and entertainment area has been built for those cold winter nights.
The lodge is set on the edge of the main lake, surrounded by gentle rolling hills and majestic Stringybark and other Eucalyptus trees. In April 2000 three more lakes were built above the main lake bringing the total to six lakes in succession all stocked with fighting trout. Dunmore Trout Waters has a long association with trout and trout anglers. It was used mainly as a private facility, but with the inclusion of the lakes and the establishment of a two bedroom lodge with all modern facilities, Dunmore now offers both summer and winter fishing with a well-stocked selection of both Brown and Rainbow trout of varied weight and size. Restocking is carried out annually creating exciting angling for both the Fly and Lure angler.
