Mount Wood Homestead

Step back in time with a visit to Mount Wood Homestead in the Sturt National Park. This historic homestead was built before 1890 from rubble stone, and today offers five bedrooms equipped to sleep up to eleven people. The homestead also features a fully furnished living room, kitchen facilities and separate toilets and showers. Bird watchers and bushwalkers will relish using the homestead as a base from which to explore the area’s rolling red dunes, sandstone escarpments and vast desert skies, while history buffs will enjoy visiting the nearby Mount Wood Shearers Quarters and outdoor Pastoral Museum for a real taste of early settler life.
