Wellington National Park consists of 17 000 hectares of Western Australia's unique eucalypt forests. The central feature of the Park is the beautiful Collie River Valley with its ancient valley gorge below the magnificent lake situated behind the Wellington Dam. It offers a range of recreational pursuits including camping, fishing, swimming, rafting, canoeing and bush walking. There are breathtaking views across calm waters and down the picturesque valley from the dam lookout.
Camping is available at Honeymoon Pool and Potters Gorge, both popular and beautiful camp grounds. Campsites are not bookable and operate on a first come first served basis. Rates are: adult $7.50, concession $5.50 and child (6-15yrs) $2.20 per night.
A park entry fee of $12 ($6 concession) per vehicle applies at many of the popular national parks in WA although not at Wellington National Park. Many visitors appreciate the savings and convenience of purchasing either a four week Holiday Pass or Annual All Parks Pass online at before their trip.

Special Events

The park is ideally situated for day or overnight visits, being close to Perth and all other centres in the South West. The area is popular all year round with 300 species of wildflowers providing magnifiscent shows in spring and over 70 bird species. You may even spot a unique animal such as a chuditch, quenda, quokka, brushtail possum, woylie or western ringtail possum.
