We are a dog friendly caravan & camping park located at the start of Victoria's beautiful 90 mile beach.
Being adjacent to the beach makes our park the perfect base for that fishing trip. Salmon, Gummy shark and Flathead are the main catch from our surf beach. Bait and fishing tackle are available from our kiosk.
Woodside Beach SLSC, patrols the beach during the summer months right up to Easter. Every Saturday night from Dec 1st through to Easter Saturday, their Bistro and Bar serve meals and beverages and it's located just across the road from our park.
Adjacent to the Life Saving Club is the Woodside Beach foreshore reserve which has a large undercover BBQ area and a children's playground all available for your use.
An Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday for the under sevens is an annual event here at the park.
If you are lucky you may spot whales and dolphins as they migrate up and down the coast, and we have even had a seal or two come to rest on our shores.

When we arrived at Woodside I wasn't sure what to expect, I had seen some mixed reviews! Yes the park has lots of old vans and set ups throughout the park, but seriously this is not a BIG 4!!! When you open your eyes and go down towards the other end of the park where the majority of the campers stay, its open and sunny with big grassy sites. When you get there you are given the rules of the camp, dogs welcome, but leads at all times & pick up yourself , fire pits have to be approved -ohhh yes thats why there is big grassy sites pick up your ash when you leave and keep the music down! So then you unpack and its easy to fall into a relaxed few days of doing nothing, direct access to the beach to fish , swim or walk 90 miles if you want . Toilets and showers were clean, they are older so sometimes they can look dirty but they are actually clean. We were there the long weekend, and was pleased that they were maintained. We were very impressed especially the value for money and within 3 hours of Melbourne towing a big van we are coming back. Thank you to Sam & Steve for trying to accomodate our bigger van before our arrival and ensuring we had a site that fitted us comfortably.
I suspect Pamela and Ted are from the feral group that were asked time and again to clean up their act and to not treat the caravan park like they owned it. Clearly they have not taken kindly to the new management implementing the Victorian Caravan Park Regulations which not only ensure the safety of all who enjoy parks such as these but are designed to create an open, inclusive and friendly atmosphere for all. I have visited the park with my family over the last year or so and have seen the great efforts that are being made by the current manager to improve the atmosphere for all. Far from being spineless he has stood up to the antisocial permanents who have not taken kindly to his reasonable requests. I will continue to return with my family to the park as the difference with a few feral trouble makers already packed up and gone is massive!
We stayed there over a weekend and were really disappointed with the feral permanents. The park looks like a shanty town with all of the buildings attached to caravans. We left early because we didn't want our children witnessing the language and behaviour of the other guests who had formed drinking groups. The manager was spineless, in that he did not have the assertiveness to deal with the trouble makers. We will not be staying there again.
The park is in a great position but unfortunately the manager is unfriendly, negative and seems to be in the wrong industry for his personality. The amenities are very basic and no camp kitchen is available. It isn't a family friendly park as there are a lot of groups that drink and play loud music well into the night. A really disappointing few days spent there.
agree with other negative ratings on site arrived during argument between manager and daughter told roughly where site was tiny site with nowhere for car amongst dilapidated humpies that pass for permanent no facilities on site toilets dirty no soap no hot air dryer or paper towels and doors that jam shut should close park and reserve it for permanents 3.5 star rating on sign is extremely optimistic $38 per night for site was blatant overcharge
Have to agree with Bianca on this one. We have visited the park several times over the last few years but won't go again. The permanent residents just leave their dogs loose to poop all over the place. You run the gauntlet of having your own dog attacked while walking thru the park to get to the beach. Last time we were there I couldn't walk down 3 out of 4 roads to get to the beach for fear of roaming dogs. Unzipped tent one morning only to find a large dog poop left in door way. Complained to owners but nothing changed on the next visit. Wont be returning as it seems the 'Permanents' are running the show . Shame, because is a nice spot.
Worst Caravan Park ever.......should be renamed to Woodside Trailer Trash Park! Only 1 ablution block in the whole park with only 3 of the 6 showers that work properly, basins are always filthy and not even a clean bucket of water to wipe the filthy shower floors! Too many locals living here that have no consideration for campers and the local feuds and fowl language used are unacceptable. Not to mention irresponsible dog owners that cannot clean up after their dogs. There is no water supply anywhere near the campsites so one needs to walk all the way to the toilets for water and it's not drinkable. Lack of supervision when locals get out of hand! No management capabilities at all! Disgusting that young children have to witness the inappropriate behaviour of the locals which seems to be acceptable by the poor management of this park!
Great park in a brilliant location. Everyone was so friendly, we had such a great time and didn't want to leave. We will be back!
