Situated 26km north of Narrabri, Edgeroi is today an agricultural village built on some of the country’s richest agricultural land. The village is named after to the famous Edgeroi Station, which at 150,000 acres was one of the largest stations in north-west NSW from the early 1880s until just after World War II. The woolshed at Edgeroi Station was once the largest in the southern hemisphere, and the remains of the woolshed are still visible on the side of the road.

The village is framed by the impressive Nandewar Ranges, making this a wonderful spot to stop, enjoy a picnic and recharge the batteries.
