Tamworth Country Music Festival

Country music at its finest at the world-renowned Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Luring thousands of country music fans each year, the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival is the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere, running for 10 days and showcasing the talents of more than 800 artists.

With entertainment spread across the Tamworth region, the festival caters for around 55,000 country music enthusiasts, with spectacular performances from their favourite singers and musicians. The 2016 line-up is set to include Guy Sebastian, Simon and Garfunkel and hundreds of other well-known artists, alongside a list of young up-and-comers.

Visitors are treated to an array of free outdoor concerts, with daily performances held between 11am and 3pm, as well as nightly shows throughout the festival.

The main street of Tamworth comes alive with buskers, market stalls and food stands, while a new family precinct is sure to keep the kids happy thanks to a jumping castle, Ferris wheel and circus workshop!

The Fanzone area offers smaller, more personal performances and the opportunity to get signatures and maybe even a quick chat with your idols.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Tamworth Country Music Festival is the announcement of the highly sought-after Golden Guitar awards, which honour outstanding achievement in country music. The gongs are handed out at the festival each year and continue to be the highlight of the iconic event.
