Celebrate the region’s renowned food, wine and produce at the Taste Tamworth Festival.
This annual 10-day festival recognises the most celebrated local chefs, farmers and connoisseurs from Tamworth’s huge food and wine industry. It’s a celebration unlike any other in NSW, with events and activities attracting thousands of people each year.
Kick-starting the fabulous festival is the Laneway Pop-Up Bar, which runs over two nights and is all about sampling delicious food alongside local beers and wines, while listening to live music and enjoying the trendy atmosphere.
The next item on the festival’s calendar, Taste in the Park, is always popular. Held in the lovely Bicentennial Park, visitors can mingle with celebrity chefs or hang out in the shady garden bar.
In the same location, The Long Lunch has seats for up to 300 people and serves up a five-course lunch experience, all cooked by Tamworth’s best chefs.
During the festival, visitors can explore the region by car, following the self-guided Farm Gate Trail tour. This way, they can not only taste some of the deliciously fresh produce but also speak with the farmers who grow it.
