Hidden within a delightful gift shop you’ll find the cute Corner Café.
It’s not a new trick: bury a café in a super cute shop full of knick-knacks and you’ve got a captive market for your wares.
But as lovers of vases, scented candles and cushions – not to mention coffee – we couldn’t care less about this clever trickery. A double latte and a framed butterfly in a glass box, thanks!
As the name hints none too subtly, this crafty retail-hospitality hybrid is located in a corner store on the quaint main street of the historic town of Tenterfield, made famous by Sir Henry Parkes and, more recently, The Boy from Oz.
The café serves a classic line-up of brekky and lunch meals from gourmet salads to generous country-style sandwiches, while the coffee, roasted in Byron Bay, is sure to hit the spot.
It’s a lovely venue in an historic building, full of colour and warmth thanks to the aforementioned curios for sale and an open fireplace. Service is friendly and fast, so you’ll be stocking up on stylish home furnishings in no time.
