The Country Championships, Dubbo


Launched in 2015, the inaugural Country Championships proved a resounding success for the racing industry and generated unprecedented interest and coverage.

An initiative of Racing NSW and supported by the Government of NSW, The Country Championships was created to support and promote NSW racing in country areas, ensuring that horses from across the state are part of The Championships in Sydney in the autumn.

This is the second year that Dubbo Turf Club have hosted a Country Championships meeting. Hosting thirteen race meetings each season, with approximately 120 horses in training at one time making use of the state of the art stabilizer gold fibre track.

Horses representing the region of the West will compete on the world class race track at Dubbo to qualify for the Randwick blockbuster final on 2 April in Sydney.
