Experience the satirical delight that is The Mikado this March.
Owing to the popularity of its inaugural season, the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of SA and Co-Opera are collaborating to bring the acclaimed production The Mikado to Walgett this Autumn.
First performed in London in 1885, this W.S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan comic opera is a satire of British politics and institutions that's set in exotic Japan. Directed by Richard Trevaskis, this version of The Mikado is a vision of colour that adds a number of slight modernist touches and emphasizes the relevance of satire to contemporary society and government.
You can BYO your own picnic dinner, then sit back and relax under the stars for an evening you won't forget.
