Get up close and personal with the night sky at the Warrumbungle Observatory in Coonabarabran. The 90 minute show will teach you how to navigate around the sky by allowing you to observe through up to six telescopes, including the new 20 inch telescope. The show also includes a fascinating astronomical presentation under the stars, with live video images of the moon and planets. For those who are interested, daytime observing of the sun can be arranged on clear days, simply contact the Observatory on the day you wish to visit. If you can’t make it to the Observatory, take advantage of the mobile telescope service, which transports up to four telescopes to groups at local motels and campsites nearby and within New South Wales.
